I am interested in improving collaboration among small and larger groups of people. Towards this focus, I spend a lot of time working with collaborative software, especially web-based software. I talk with and listen to other people who are interested in collaboration. I write code too. I learn about and help to preserve the history of early software projects that were focused on improving collaboration. I think about free/libre software and open source software as a model for improving trust and collaboration between citizens and their governments, between companies and their customers, and between people with geographical, cultural, and philosophical differences.
